Born in Ethiopia and raised in Montreal and New York, designer Hana Getachew founded Bolé Road Textiles because she wanted to blend her loves of interior design and Ethiopian handwoven fabrics. From curtains and coasters to towels and table linens, Bolé reuses and recolors traditional Ethiopian motifs to give them a modern touch. The pieces are handwoven in Ethiopian studios that are owned and operated by women entrepreneurs paid fair wages, and the yarn is made from locally sourced cotton that is hand-processed from harvesting to spinning.
